The Human Rights Foundations (HRF) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting human rights and democratic values across India. Established with the vision of building a just, inclusive, and equitable society, HRF unites individuals and communities in the shared mission of defending human dignity and freedom.
HRF works to empower the disempowered—including Dalits, tribal communities, women, children, and minorities—by helping them safeguard their individual and collective rights and live with dignity. Through education, awareness, monitoring, advocacy, and civil society mobilization, HRF fosters a culture of respect for human rights and social justice.
Our Legal Status
HRF is registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, with Government Registration No. S/1008/Distt.South/2012 (NCT of Delhi), and also registered in Kerala under the same Act with Registration No. PKD/CA/169/2012.
The jurisdiction of HRF extends throughout the entire territory of India, and includes a dedicated Pravasi Cell established for the welfare and protection of Non-Resident Indians (Pravasis), addressing their human rights concerns and providing support in matters of justice, safety, and social integration....
